Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja isn’t the one to mince her words and always speaks her mind. Recently, she called out nepotism for only favouring a bunch of star kids. She stated that because of Govinda and nepotism, their daughter Tina Ahuja hasn’t been able to secure work. Govinda’s persona as a strict parent makes filmmakers think that he will boss around on sets.

In an interview with Hindi Rush, Govinda’s wife Sunita talked about their daughter Tina’s desire to work. She claimed that people were scared that her father would come on her film sets to boss around.

Sunita said, “The response was good. But everyone has created a fear that if Tina works, then Govinda will come on the sets and abuse because he is a strict father. I don’t understand why people create such myths. She is waiting for a good role. She doesn’t need to struggle to run the house. Agar uske liye achha kaam aata hai, toh wo kyu nahi karegi? Aap log mauka toh do kaam karne ka. (If she gets a good opportunity, then why wouldn’t she do it? Give her the opportunity to work).”

Continuing, Sunita also slammed nepotism as it only pushed a group of star kids. “Nepotism band karo na. Doosre logon ko bhi kaam karne ka mauka to do. Aap ek hi group mein sabko…wohi group mein kaam hota hai. Baahar bhi toh dekho, log aur bhi baithe hain. Abhi bhi, she is open to work. Kaam milega, woh karegi, usko shauk bhi hai bohot kaam karne ka. Abhi ek hi actor ko aap kitni baar dekhoge. (Stop nepotism. Give other people a chance to work too. Only a select group of star kids get work. Look outside, there are others too. Tina is open to work. If she gets work, she will do it. She is also very fond of working).”

Meanwhile, Sunita’s comments have attracted heavy trolling. Internet users are calling her out for criticising nepotism as her kids are unable to reap its benefits. Moreover, following her comment, a Reddit thread has emerged, trolling Sunita Ahuja. One user wrote, “How come their nephews and nieces started working more than a decade ago on television and their kids are still at home? Why do they want to work only in films? What kind of superiority complex is this?” Another added, “Nepotism hurts, till the fruits of it are not relished by your daughter.” Moreover, one user commented, “Pot calling kettle black.”

Moreover, recently rumours surfaced that Tina Ahuja is quitting Bollywood. Sunita took a moment to rebuff the speculations. “Why do people say this, I don’t understand. Why would a kid who was born in the industry, leave it? She did a podcast recently, usi mai kuch aagaya tha.”

Meanwhile, Tina Ahuja marked her Bollywood debut with the romantic comedy ‘Second Hand Husband’ in 2015. Moving ahead, Govinda and Sunita’s son, Yashvardhan Ahuja is also going to make his debut this year with a love story.
